In this program, participants learned more about exhibition artist Vanessa McConnell’s painting process and created their own work with ECF Art Centers teaching artists Alexandra Bunch and Juan Carlos Ornelas. Co-presented by ECF Art Centers.

- Canvas board 11 x 14 inches or larger
- Acrylic paint in a variety of colors (primary colors are recommended)
- Blue painters tape about 1 inch thickness
- Gel medium thickening gel (Liquitex)
- Flat paint brushes (medium and large sizes)
- Water cup
- Paper towels

Alexandra Bunch is a painting instructor from Los Angeles, CA. She specializes in digital painting as well as acrylic and watercolor. Bunch has a degree in art history from the University of Santa Barbara.
About Juan Carlos (JC) Ornelas:
Juan Carlos (JC) Ornelas received his B.F.A. in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute. It was there that Ornelas began working in collaboration with others, in various age groups, through community outreach art programs. He has been working at the Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) since 2012. In addition to teaching ceramics processes, Ornelas also works with artists to develop their art styles, discuss their works, and create the things that make them unique and allow them to express their voice.
